There is a puzzle centering around 'something unseen' at Elden Ring's Heretical Rise, and this guide will help players solve it.

Elden Ring is filled to the brim with puzzles for players to solve, and one of them centers around a location known as Heretical Rise. This tower can be found just west of the large frozen lake in the Mountaintops of the Giants region, and a seal will initially prevent fans from entering it. To get past the seal at Elden Ring's Heretical Rise, players must traverse something that is "unseen," and this guide details exactly how that is done.

The first step toward solving the Heretical Rise puzzle is to get on the other side of the ravine that is just north of the tower. After reaching this side, players should look for a small portion of bridge that extends over the ravine and toward Heretical Rise. For full clarity, the precise position of this bridge portion is marked on the map that is below, and the Freezing Lake Site of Grace in Elden Ring is very near to it.

Once a player reaches the relevant bridge section, they should stand upon it and start walking in the direction of Heretical Rise. Indeed, there is an invisible pathway over the ravine in this position, though Elden Ring fans cannot simply follow it straight into the tower. This is due to the fact that there is a break in the path as it draws near to the structure, at which point players will need to ascend an invisible ramp on their left that ultimately curves back toward the tower.

To locate this ramp, fans should move slowly along the straight portion of the invisible path, using Elden Ring sorceries, Rainbow Stones, or other projectiles to confirm that there is solid ground in front of them if they wish to. While doing this, players should keep their eyes on the left side, and they will see a faint white mist just before they are above a tall tree that is in the ravine below them. This mist marks the curving ramp, and fans should follow it into Heretical Rise.

Upon entering Heretical Rise, players should dispatch the Elden Ring enemy inside, climb the stairs to the east, and use the lift that they encounter. Fans should then ascend the spiral staircase on the exterior of the tower, taking care of the foe along the way, and loot the chest that is in the room at the top. This chest contains Founding Rain of Stars, a legendary sorcery that releases a downpour of star rain.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
