My Favorite Disney Resort Bites

One of my favorite parts of a Walt Disney World vacation is spending time outside the Parks. Resort hopping to enjoy Disney transportation, admire resort theming, see beautiful pools, and scope out your next potential Disney Resort home are all great ways to spend a day at Walt Disney World Resort. As a Disney foodie, another key part of Resort touring is sampling the food and drinks unique to that resort.

A Skyliner bar crawl through cocktail spots at Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Pop Century Resort is so fun. A monorail bar or snack crawl is a must-do for Disney foodies, sampling options at Polynesian Village Resort, Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and of course Contemporary Resort. But these are just a few of the fun spots to eat at Disney Resorts. Today, we are counting down my favorite Disney Resort bites that you need to try!

Choosing just one food from the menu at Capt. Cook’s is tough! Between the juicy chicken wings, Pan-Asian noodles and vegetables, and the Thai Coconut Meatballs, it’s tough to choose. All these eats are unique to this menu and keep with the Polynesian theming. Still, my can’t miss choice on this menu is the Pulled Pork Nachos!

For just $9.99, Guests can enjoy flavorful pulled pork served over nacho chips topped with cheese, spicy mayonnaise, pico de gallo, and the star of the dish – pineapple salsa. I love the affordable price, incredible flavor, and shareable nature of this menu item.

Tambu Lounge is perfectly placed in the Great Ceremonial House, right outside the beloved Disney table service restaurant,‘Ohana. You’ll find Guests who are waiting for their table at ‘Ohana relaxing at Tambu Lounge seating areas and bar, as well as Guests that have just dropped by to enjoy the awesome ambiance and drinks. Just enjoying the beautiful view of Magic Kingdom Park from Tambu Lounge is worth a visit.

It’s common to hear Disney insiders rave about the Lapu Lapu and other cocktails, like the Backscratcher, at Tambu Lounge, but the food is great too. The California Roll is a delicious option for a lite bite, coming in at $18 and made with jumbo crab, citrus mayonnaise, cucumber, avocado, and tobiko.

For a cheaper and equally yummy option, I always go for the Pot Stickers. At only $12 these vegetable and pork dumplings hit the spot and pair perfectly with a cocktail. Do not miss sampling these on your next visit to Polynesian Village Resort.

The BoardWalk Deli is brand-new at Walt Disney World, but we know it will be a hit! The menu is full of New England classics with a modern flair that is sure to make your mouth water. My first choice off of this great menu? The Roasted Chicken Sandwich.

This delectable sandwich is served on a fresh ciabatta loaded with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and a dreamy and creamy roasted garlic aïoli. The meal comes in at $10.49 and is served with your choice of side like chips, slaw or tomato-basil soup. Other menu highlights are the bright and fresh Mixed Berry Salad for $9.99 and the Chicken Salad Wrap loaded with juicy rotisserie chicken for $10.99.

This resort poolside eatery does not get the attention it deserves. I have fond childhood memories of swimming the day away in the incredible Yacht and Beach Club Resort pools, and breaking only to snack on fries and virgin strawberry daiquiris from Hurricane Hanna’s. This Waterside Bar and Grill is a great choice for a snack during an afternoon of Resort hopping.

Don’t miss a chance to tour this deluxe Resort and view the sprawling pools. A visit to Yacht Club Resort for a summer trip is a Disney bucket list item for many Disney fanatics. In the Hurricane Hanna’s dining department — I love the yummy Seafood Roll. It is served with fresh crunchy lettuce on a Parker House roll with a side of those fries I’ve loved since childhood. This menu option is $11.79 and tastes even better with a poolside view.

If you are Skyliner hopping and want to enjoy the flavors of the Caribbean, hop off at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and head over to Spyglass Grill. This quick-service restaurant has the usual dishes you’d expect like cheeseburgers and chicken tenders, but also has unique dishes like a Cuban sandwich, Shrimp Salad, and Trinidad Crispy Yucca Bowl.

My choice from Spyglass Grill is absolutely the Chopped Jerk Chicken Salad that comes in at $10.99. This salad has chopped romaine lettuce and kale with fresh red bell peppers and juicy mango, all served with a side of Key Lime Vinaigrette dressing!

Yep, we have even more dining options at Caribbean Beach Resort that you do not want to miss. Banana Cabana is a great spot to enjoy tropical and frozen drinks. Not to mention, the dining area is the perfect aesthetic for a cute Insta pic. When you stop by this eatery, do not skip the Jerk Chicken Wings. At only $12 this is good value for wings and man are they delicious!

Cooked to perfection and served with cool and crispy pickled vegetable ribbons and a cilantro-lime crema, it does not get much better than this snack. Honorable mentions on this menu are the Caribbean Pull-Apart Rolls with that melty guava butter and the loaded fries sprinkled with fresh cotija cheese and a Caribbean-style chili.

Sometimes grabbing a quick slice of pizza is the perfect snack or lunch idea. Enter — the Pizza Window at the Disney’s BoardWalk. Snag a slice of gooey cheese pizza for $8.49 and kick back on a BoardWalk Bench to watch the boats pass and enjoy your slice. Pepperoni, veggie, and sausage and mushroom pizza slices are also available for purchase.

As you can see, the Disney Resort must-eat options are numerous! Options at Port Orleans Resort Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Beach Club Resort are still to come. There is no way I can fit all my favorites into just one article, so stay tuned for more of my favorite Disney World Resort eats!
