Two polar bear sisters at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium were treated like royalty for their 15th birthdays.

On Aurora and Anana's 15th birthdays Saturday, the zoo threw the sisters a frozen princes party.

Staff members at the zoo decorated the polar bear habitat with popcorn-filled paper snowflakes, a princess castle, a birthday banner, brand new 55-gallon barrels with cream cheese and peanut butter and ice cube piles with frozen fish.

The polar bears' birthday cake was made with ice, pureed capelin, gelatin, and meat and the ice cupcakes were filled with fish and chicken.

It wouldn't be a proper birthday party without gifts. Aurora and Anana opened boxes filled with shank bones and frozen melons wrapped in frozen gift wrap.

The polar bears also received additional birthday enrichment items.

The Columbus Zoo credited the birthday party's success to its devoted animal care and animal nutrition teams.
