What's open on Easter Sunday in Montgomery? Restaurant, breakfast

With Easter just around the corner, there are four essential F's on the minds of people in and around Montgomery: faith, family, fun and, of course, food. 

While kitchens will be buzzing all over with home cooking, there are restaurant options for those who'd rather spend Sunday just eating with family and friends. Many restaurants will be open on Sunday. We've focused on ones with specific Easter plans for dine-in that day. There are also several options for getting full meals to take home and enjoy. 

For places that require reservations or advanced orders, be sure to contact them early to check for availability.

Egg hunt:It's easy to find an Easter egg hunt this weekend in Montgomery, River Region

Hours: 11 a.m.to 2 p.m.

Reservations: Seating is limited and reservations are recommended; however, you may be seated if space is available. Make a reservation at www.central129coosa.com, Resy.com or call 334-517-1155.

Menu: Celebrate Easter with a special brunch buffet from Chef Jason at Central in downtown Montgomery. There's a cold station, with spring greens salad, Caesar salad, bow tie pasta salad, danishes, pimento cheese and flat bread, smoked salmon platter and a seasonal fruit and berries platter. The hot station includes scrambled eggs with chives, banana and pecan French toast, Conecuh sausage and applewood bacon, herb roasted salmon with lemon dill sauce, apple cider brined pork loin with apple dijon veloute, Southern fried chicken, stewed green beans with bacon and onions, "the cheesiest" mac and cheese, and whipped potatoes. The carving station has horseradish crusted prime rib with red wine infused au jus and horseradish cream. The sweet station has classic banana pudding, carrot cake, and Mississippi mud pie. Top it off with Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Bellini.

Menu: Salad, yeast roll and soft drink. Appetizer is fried ravioli or sautee pierogie. Entree choice of braised lamb, peach bourbon lamb, dijon glazed salmon, or garlic roasted half chicken. Sides of brussels sprouts, roasted potatoes, creamed spinach, mac and cheese. Dessert choice of carrot cake slice, lemon bar or ambrosia salad.

Extras: For children 10 and under who attend brunch, there will be an Easter egg hunt. 

Catering: Patriot's Grill is offering a catered Easter dinner that feeds a family of four for $59.95. Includes salad, ham, three sides, rolls and dessert. Each additional package is 10 percent off. Orders must be made in advance. Call 334-593-0668 or email thepatriotgrill.rt@gmail.com.

Hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Reservations: No reservations required. First come, first served.

Cost:  $9.99 for adults before 11 a.m. $14.99 per adult after 11 a.m. Ages 9-12 $7.99; ages 4-8 $6.99; ages 3 and under free. 

Menu: Endless buffet featuring a variety of entrees including chicken, steak, fish, ham and more, plus salad, sides, desserts.

Cost: Cooked specials are $55.99 to feed 4-5 people, $105.99 to feed 8-10 people. There is also a cooked or uncooked Easter special that feeds 4 for $90, or 6 people for $130.

Cooked menu: Smoked spiral ham or chopped Boston butt, with choice of two sides: Chef Drew's collard greens, corn casserole, Chef Drew's black eyed peas, squash casserole, cornbread dressing, pineapple casserole, sweet potato casserole, potato salad, green bean casserole, baked beans. Rolls. Deviled eggs are $11 a dozen.

Menu: Sugar-cured ham and country sides. The Heat n' Serve Ham Feast feeds 8-10. The Family Dinner serves 4-6. There's also a Prime Rib Heat n Serve Family dinner. The prime rib and sides like three cheese squash casserole, fried apples, carrots, corn, cornbread dressing, green beans, hashbrown casserole, macaroni n' cheese, mashed potatoes, roasted gravy, sweet potato casserole and yeast rolls. These are cold to heat later.  

Cost: Easter Ham Heat n' Serve Family Dinner is $99.99. Easter Ham Heat n' Serve Feast is $149.99. The Prime Rib Heat n' Serve family dinner is $124.99. The a la carte sides are individually priced and come in quart or pan size.

Menu: The Fresh Market offers an Easter Ham Meal that'll feed 8-10 for $89.99, and one to feed 4 for $59.99. There's an Easter Lamb Meal for 2 that's #49.99. There are three kinds of Easter brunch quiche for $19.99 each:  Spinach Tomato, Broccoli Cheddar, and Quiche Lorraine. They also have a variety of individually priced cooked meats sold by the pound.

Menu: They have a Large Family-Style Lasagna Bundle that serves up to 12 for $88.99. Their regular Family-Stylee Lasagna Bundle serves 4-6, and costs $58.99.
